21 of us stopped on a Saturday in June! The place was hopping with another big group of trail riders! The waitstaff was awesome - - different people kept track of your orders. Your food came quickly, and the bills were correct. Several of us had the turkey club and it was great! The fries were pretty standard fries. My hubby had an Odie burger and he enjoyed it. A chicken wrap was said to be very good too. We were sitting outside and had a very nice time there. The beer selection was great as well. Friends from out of state split the huge tenderloin and really enjoyed it! They said it was good. It's a great 10 mile ride from the Czech village in Cedar Rapids
Our first time at Odie's did not disappoint. I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich and it was everything I wanted-crispy without being tough or over-breaded. The bun stood up and didn't fall apart. My husband had the fried cod. It was delicious and came with onion rings and coleslaw. Service was quick and very friendly. The happy hour beers and free popcorn were a nice bonus.
Best pork tenderloin ever, very good. It was kind of dead the night I was there, but everything else was good.
Great sit down bar with very friendly staff. Food is great and exactly what you feel like after a bike or snowmobile ride down the trails.
I specifically decided to write a review on Odie's as supposed to some the other bars. Where else can he go and get bluegill fillets, on the menu?!?!?!? Don't worry, I'll wait... This place has the best popcorn while you're waiting for your dinner to arrive that you'll ever have. It's the little things but, that is one of those things that kept us coming back!! I don't think you're gonna go wrong with the food but honestly I really only had appetizers so cheers
Very over priced but some good bar food. Their shrimp on thursdays is to die for! Atmosphere is awesome but they are a little slow. Worth the wait and will be returning to try other things on the menu because it is so broad and there's so many things i'm wanting to try
Had not been to Odies since before the Pandemic. This place has really stepped up its game! It was the perfect bar to ride to on a chilly spring day. They have a stylish remodel complete with out door fire places to keep warm by and a garage door patio to bring the outside in. The bartenders and waitresses were some of the most engaging ones I have experienced in a long time.They were friendly, attentive and charismatic. The out door fire places were so nice that we ended up there for a second night on a bike ride huddle up around it with friend and good conversation. We order appetizers and the food was very good. It has a bar food menu with burgers fries and tenderloins. I can not say enough about how nice the remodel and how great our customer experience was there! Keep up the good work!
We came to town for a basketball tournament and found this local gem, in downtown Ely! I ordered the wings, extra crispy, and they came just how I like them! I tried the Asian Zing and the Garlic Jalapeño sauces. Both sauces were good, but the Garlic Jalapeño was medium spicy, and really good! Son ordered the strip basket, and said it was good. Husband ordered the broasted Chicken meal, and enjoyed it also. Service was very good, personable, and he was taking care of all patrons in a timely manner. I would recommend and return again next time in town.
Oldies is our go-to bar. Amazing burgers, fries cheese curds, and corn nuggets. Awesome staff too- Gypsy is our favorite! Great home-town feel.
Second trip to Odie's. Saturday night special is AUCE Broasted Chicken for $7.99 with purchase of a drink - $2.29 - but it's a very large drink. Chicken is freshly prepared, and because it's a special it comes out quickly. We ordered white meat only, and there was no problem getting that to order. Chicken was very juicy, the coating could have used a little bit more flavoring, but it was good nonetheless.
